Reunite the EC: Support the united slate!
Reunite is proud to endorse a united slate of Executive Council candidates representing a growing movement from across our union’s industrial sectors, regions, nations and equalities strands.
This is the most important EC election in our union’s history. This is the moment to unite against the division and toxicity which threatens the future of our union.
With statements from candidates seeking nomination now online, Reunite publishes our list of endorsed candidates below. More names will be endorsed as candidates come forward. We call on all members and reps to support these candidates and support the movement to reunite our union.
The names already announced bring together workplace leaders from across our union, with industrial independents standing alongside candidates from existing member-led groups brought together under the campaign banner of Members United.
Many of the candidates have made clear in their statements that they support the movement to reunite our union and commit to working together to rebuild our union’s industrial and political strength, demand accountability with members’ money, and overcome division with unity.
This united slate of candidates represents a rank-and-file movement from the workplace. We have no need to go "back to the workplace" - we are already there, fighting and winning for members! These candidates are our real industrial leaders; those truly on the frontlines. They are battling austerity, saving sites from closure and winning major pay victories. Now they are standing to defend our union.
In contrast, candidates standing on the regime slate face the indignity of being reduced to props for Sharon Graham’s ego. Many have clearly been made to use identical wording, dedicating the entirety of their statements to mimicking talking points praising Sharon Graham.
This is a regime which tries to claim our workplace struggles and hard won victories as their own to feed the ego of the leadership. This is a regime now reliant on threats and intimidation against union employees to prop itself up. This is a regime which judges even its own candidates only on their loyalty to Sharon Graham. Such people can no longer be allowed to wreck our union.
Support the workplace leaders who are reuniting our union. These candidates must now reinforce the important work of the ‘31’ – the majority of the current Executive Council which has fought back against attempts to strangle our union’s democracy and obstruct scrutiny of our union’s finances.
Reunite calls on every member and rep, in every branch and workplace to join this movement.
2026 is the year we save our union.
It’s time to Reunite the Union
